What is a doula?
A doula is a trained professional who provides emotional, physical, spiritual, and educational support during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Unlike a doctor or midwife, I don’t perform medical tasks, I focus on supporting you and your family with a emphasis on connection, sisterhood, and education.

When should I partner with a doula?
I always reccomend as early as you can! That gives us more time to connect and form a genuine relationship before I step into your intimate space. However, I welcome clients at any stage, whether you’re just finding out you’re pregnant or weeks away from your due date. Regardless of when we partner, the financial investment remains the same.

Will my spouse/partner still have a role if I hire a doula?
Absolutely. I’m here to enhance your partner’s support, not replace it. I take a whole family approch. I encourage dads and kiddos (if comfortable) to be present at the birth prep meetings. That way you aren’t doing this alone. Birth education is for everyone! Along with that, I guide fathers on how to best support you during labor. I find dads always walk away feeling glad they were part of the process and they got to be invloved!

What if I end up needing a cesarean birth?
I support families through every kind of birth. During a cesarean, I can help you and your partner feel calm, explain what’s happening, and provide postpartum support for recovery and bonding.

Do you offer postpartum support?
Yes. Birth is just the beginning, I can provide resources and emotional support as you and your family adjust. Additionally, one of my postpartum visits includes a meal cooked in your home while you bond with your baby. We can eat, chat, or sit in silence, whatever makes you feel best supported, and yes, I’ll clean up too 😉.

How do you support during labor?
I use a mix of techniques, such as breathing guidance, relaxation tools, massage, positioning, affirmations, prayer, and advocacy, to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered.

How do I know if you’re the right doula for me?
Connection matters most. I always offer a free consultation so we can get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. Your comfort and trust are my top priorities.
